Today, we honor the life and legacy of Firefighter/EMT Ruben Leal, a remarkable individual who dedicated over 15 years to the Crosby Volunteer Fire Department. Serving with unwavering pride, honor, and passion, Ruben rose through the ranks from firefighter to Station Lieutenant to Chief, becoming our first Safety Officer. He was the first to retire under the new Texas Emergency Services Retirement program from the Crosby Volunteer Fire Department and earned the distinction of Lifetime Member. Ruben's commitment to his community and fellow firefighters was unparalleled. His leadership and dedication have left an indelible mark on our department and the community he served.
